Elizabeth has practised as a barrister and solicitor for over 30 years exclusively in family law and crime in Melbourne, country Victoria and Perth.  She returned from Perth where she had practised as Principal federal Prosecutor for five years as well as Acting Director of the People Smuggling Branch for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and re signed the bar roll in 2016.  Her criminal law experience includes the conduct of serious indictable offences and lengthy trials of drugs, child exploitation, people smuggling and money laundering trials in the Supreme Court of WA and District court as well as extensive summary court hearings and applications in WA and Victoria and County Court Appeals.  Her family law experience is extensive and she appears in all family law matters including circuits and country matters.

Elizabeth was awarded the Jessie Leggatt property law prize and graduated with an Honours degree in Law and has since obtained a Master of Laws also from Melbourne University.  She was awarded two Victorian state government awards for voluntary work and has served on numerous boards by appointment including the Editorial Board of the Melbourne University law Review, by appointment of governor in council to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Mothers and Babies, by appointment of WA Attorney General to the Victims of Crime Advisory Board, to the Gender Bias committee to advise on legislative reform, and to the Protective Behaviours Board which delivered Protective behaviour education to schools throughout WA.  She also has published a paper on Criminal Defamation in the Law Institute Journal.
