Alice was admitted to practice in April, 1996 and signed the Bar Roll in November, 2006.She began her career in the law in 1994 as the Legal Association to the Honourable Justice Joseph Kay, then a Judge of the Appeals Division of the Family Court of Australia, before becoming a solicitor at Hogg and Reid where she worked until being called to the bar in 2006. Alice practices in all areas of family law and related jurisdictions, including providing advice and appearing at Court in property cases, children's matters, de facto property matters, cases involving children of same sex relationships, Hague Convention proceedings (both Child Abduction and Child Protection conventions), and child support cases.   In addition, she has written and presented papers on a range of topics including effective affidavit drafting, conducting online legal research, case law updates for the LIV, and papers focussing on the 1996 Child Protection Convention. She has presented at the 2012 National Family Law Conference, and for the Law Institute of Victoria in 2009, 2012 and 2013. She is also a regular presenter at conferences conducted by the Leo Cussen Institute, as well as teaching there from time to time.
