Andrea accepts briefs to appear and advise in all areas of  family law and intervention orders, VOCAT and regulatory proceedings.

Andrea appears regularly in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court and at mediations, in respect of parenting and property proceedings and has a substantial Family Law practice.

Andrea has extensive experience as an advocate, having appeared in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court in the Family Law Jurisdiction and in the Magistrates Court, County Court, VOCAT and VCAT in matters relating to Family Violence and Criminal or Regulatory proceedings.

Andrea appears in both final and interim defended hearings in both the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court. Andrea also regularly accepts and appears in regional circuit sittings of the Federal Circuit Court.

Andrea also has keen interest and experience in written advocacy and, in particular, written work relating to issues of evidence. She provides complex advice and drafts pleadings and affidavits as required in Family Law jurisdiction.  She has drafted notices and advices regarding the operation of provisions in the Evidence Act, Sentencing Act and Sexual Offenders Registration Act and sufficiency of evidence.

Immediately prior to coming to the Bar Andrea worked as a Solicitor preparing complex matters for Trial.

Before being admitted to practice, Andrea was the Associate to Her Honour Judge Cotterell in the County Court.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney. Andrea read with Colin Mandy SC and her senior mentor was Suzanne McNicol QC.
